It's been running for 5 hours now, and it says: 198K of 379K files evaluated. 13GB evaluated, 0MB up to date, 122MB copied. finally killed it. trying your idea now - I think that's actually what I was looking for because now I can exclude folders like my 10GB of podcasts I can easily recreate. It seems to be running much more normally now, (like the amount evaluated = amount copied). thanks for the help!
