Hi Dave,
We are not running anything unusual that I am aware of. Not using that app you mentioned. Nothing special with our firewall. Just Apple defaults. Every time I check the CHECK MANUALLY button, SD goes out and checks your server and quickly reports that I have the most current version. Takes it all of about 1 second after hitting the button to do this. I primarily run SD on a schedule every night. I am rarely at the machines when they run their backups.
