copy to Macintosh HD (startup disk)
I have a scheduled job on my Mac at home that copies files to a USB drive. I would like to be able to create a scheduled job on my Mac at work to copy those same files from the USB drive to my HD. When I try to create this job, the Macintosh HD is grayed out. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks! |

Yes: you can't copy to the drive you're running from.
Note, too: if you try to smart update a small set of files to your internal drive, SD! will erase every other files on the drive...

I am using Copy Different. I guess I was hoping that SD could be used to keep a small set of files in sync on my 2 macs (since iSync is totally broken).
I realize that this type of functionality may be outside the scope of what you guys wrote SD for, but do you foresee the app ever being used to provide a sync-like functionality? Or is this possible now by creating a new Copy Script? Thanks for you help (and quick reply)! |

It's not something we do now, and it is outside its scope, at least at present.
