I screwed up!! Help me
Ok, I need help. I had a full backup on my firewire drive, I was set up for sandbox on the main hd. bigmac and sandbox. Things were going fine till I started a yellowdog install.
Let me just get to the problem. Running in sandbox, I thought I'd update the firewire drive. Doing this I think I no longer had a full backup. Sandbox shares user files with bigmac. I booted from the firewire drive everything looked fine. When I restored full backup I had no user files. Did the update from sandbox make my full backup a second sandbox? If I'd updated from bigmac would I have had a fullback up on the firewire drive? Thanks PPC 2.3 X2 Mac OS X 10.4.9 |

That's what it sounds like: you copied a Sandbox, not the original drive, which made a 2nd sandbox. So you don't have a full backup any more.
You might be able to recover any erased files with Data Rescue II (from either the old backup or the internal drive)...
