basic question, probably asked a hundred times

hey everyone. i just bought a new hard disk for my first series black macbook, and i need to safely back up this one to my external drive. i am thinking about buying superduper because i don't have the system disk for my macbook (lost it somewhere years ago), and i was thinking i can:

1. back up my entire original hard disk to my firewire hard disk —*using superduper.
2. install my new hard disk.
3. use firewire disk mode to restore my original system and files onto my new hard disk, thus making my computer being able to boot in the new hard disk again.

seems simple enough. will i run into problems?

Send me some email and I'll provide you with instructions, Quin (although you'll find them here by searching).
