I have just used superduper myself with my white Macbook. I bought a new 320 seagate Momentus HD and a sata 2.5 enclosure.
I used the ridculously easy SuperDuper to backup to the new drive. It took two and a half hours. The new disk was removed from the enclosure and swapped for the old one in the Mac. I booted up and hoped for the best.... My machine is now as it was before. The icons, the software, music, movies, parallels, everything. I am running Snow Leopard. I have put the old drive into the enclosure and will keep it in case I need a full bootable backup in the future. In fact, I took it to a friends house last night and booted my Mac setup on to his macbook!! Great stuff. Don't worry, this software is easy and straightforward to use. |
