icons in bootable backup gone
I made a bootable backup of my internal HD (powerbook G4, 10.4.1) on an eternal firewire HD (lacie).
All seems fine, except that the folders in the backup, such as /Applications, don't have the icons.Same for the standard "with-icon" folders in the User's homes (such as Pictures). Why is that? I made the backup onto a fresh external HD (HFS+). (I thought, the backup is an exact copy ...) Confused, Gabriel. |

Those icons are assigned at "runtime" by the Finder when the drive is the boot drive. It's OK -- you're seeing exactly what you should be seeing.

Nope, not those particular icons! (In fact, it's a handy way to see which drive is the boot drive -- you look at the 'root' of it and see which one has the special icons.)
