Where does Restore write the System?

I did a restore (to a new HD) with Disk Utilities (I now see I could have used SuperDuper) from a SuperDuper back up.

On the original drive, the system was installed first, then apps and so on.

My question is, where is my system on the new drive after the restore?

Does it matter? I always thought the "begining" of the HD was the fastest, and that is where the system should be.

Does a restore write in the order of the source? So if it displayed alpha, that is the order, and the system will write near the end?

If above is true, could I (should I) change the names of the other folders so the system is copied first?

If I had used SD, would the location of the copied system be different?

Thanks,

James

No, it doesn't matter -- it's wherever it was on the backup, and you're just fine as-is.

Thanks. I'll relax about it.
