Scheduled backups failing using WD MyBook USB HD
Hullo,
I've just recently registered superduper - and have been able to do manual backups. I have a scheduled backup for 3:30am and have set the energy settings to wakeup my iMac at 3:25am. My external HD is a Western Digital myBook - 300GB, with just the USB2 connection. These models go into a sleep/standby mode when not in use. As a result, this is the error message I get from the scheduled backups: | 03:30:15 AM | Error | The automatic copy aborted because SuperDuper! could not locate the Destination volume named LITTLE I ran a test scheduled backup this morning, and as the drive was mounted and I'd been using files on them - it ran fine. Is there anyway I can wake the drive so that superduper can see the volume? Or is this more an OS level script or an issue with the WD box? Worst case scenario - I reschedule the backups for an earlier time, but it'd be nice for it to be automatic. Any ideas much appreciated. |
