"Failed to Enable Ownership"
I just installed SuperDuper on another machine of mine and tried to do the same sort of operation I do all the time on my main computer but keep running into this "Failed to Enable Ownership" error every time.
SuperDuper is attempting to backup to a Disk Image on network storage. I'm using the same backup settings that work on my main machine and it stops me at the "Preparing ___" step. Both are running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and the latest version of SuperDuper. Quote:

We're aware of a problem on some Tiger systems; a tool we use to determine the state of ACLs is returning an I/O error. We are currently testing a fix, which should be released as soon as we're sure we've caught this and any other "teething problems"

That is Great Cause I'm having the same problem - Mac OS X 10.4.11 - and SD 2.6 |

I think the exact same thing is happening to me, too. Tried rebooting, nuking the volinfo file and rebooting, repartitioning, you name it.

It won't help, Luis: it's a bug in fsaclctl, a command-line tool under Tiger. You can see it yourself with:
Code:
sudo fsaclctl -p /Volumes/Backup -d Working on it. You can use 2.5 or 2.1.4 until we get it taken care of.
