Sleep question

I just purchased SuperDuper! My first attempt at backup did not work. I had it scheduled to go off at 2:30am while I was asleep. My Mac was put into sleep mode before I went to bed. Does sleep mode affect SuperDuper in working?

Also, my preferences are set to "Prompt before overwriting data" as recommended by the software. Is SuperDuper prompting me at 2:30? I was sleeping and could not do so. Is this what happened?

My backup was set to backup to a Sparse Image to an additional internal drive. Backup all files/smart update.

The backup is working after manually starting the backup.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. Very well designed software. Far better than what I use I work: Retrospect.

As indicated in the User's Guide, Len, if your Mac is asleep when the backup is scheduled it won't fire. Use the Energy Saver preference pane to schedule a "Turn On" or "Wake" Event for a minute before the backup is scheduled. That should allow it to do its job.

Hope that helps!
