Backing up my music.

Hello.

I have two external drives, one that is a bootable clone of my hard drive, sans my iTunes folder (thanks to your handy script tutorial), and one that I want to use exlusively for my iTunes folder, which seems to grow exponentially every month.

Am I able to just drag and drop my iTunes folder onto this second drive? This drive does not need to be bootable. If I ever need to recover from a disaster, I would reboot and restore from my cloned drive, and then simply drag iTunes back from it's external drive to it's approriate place on my hard drive (in Finder ---> Music).

Is this feasible? I don't know too much about "drag and drop".

Thank you

So... you're trying to back up your iTunes folder, or relocate it?

Just back it up. It is taking up too much space on my clone drive. As mentioned, I have one external with a bootable clone but minus the iTunes folder, and I want one drive with nothing but my music as a safe backup. I know how to restore from a clone, I just need to know how to restore the backed-up music. Drag and drop?

Thanks again

In general, you'd drop it back onto iTunes to re-import it.

Thanks Dave..

I thought it would be that easy, but I just wanted to be 100% sure. Dragging and dropping always makes me nervous, for some reason!, especially between drives.

Thanks again
