Newbie: Can't launch SuperDuper!

(Mac iBook G4 running OS X 10.4.2)

I can't get SuperDuper! to launch.

I downloaded the software.

I paid the online registration fee.

I dragged the SuperDuper!.dmg icon to my Applications folder.

I double clicked on the SuperDuper!.dmg icon in my Applications folder and got the agreement screen, which I accepted.

Then I double clicked the SuperDuper!.dmg icon again to launch the program...and nothing happened! No spinning beachball, nothing.

I'd appreciate any help. THANK YOU.
-Bob

That's strange. Try downloading v2.1.4 instead, Bob.

Thanks, Dave. I tried downloading the earlier version, went through the same steps and got the same results. Nothing happened.

I gotta be doing something wrong? Maybe?

When you double-click the dmg, it should create a virtual disk icon on your desktop. double-click *that* and you will see the runnable super-duper icon.

Well, I'm an idiot.

I didn't realize the icon in the pop-up box was draggable, so I dragged the SuperDuper icon on the desktop to my Applications folder. Thanks for setting me straight, Keith. I'm guessing this officially makes me the stupidest guy ever to successfully install and run SuperDuper. A dubious distinction, but all mine.
Thanks again,
-Bob

Yeah, this is what I sent back to your email as well, Bob. Sorry that I missed the "dmg" in the first message.

Bob

Well, it's gracious of you to say so, and you probably mean it, but trust me...you are not even close!!
