new to backups

I've done a full backup and a couple of incremental (new file) backups.
I'm backing up to a Maxtor firewire drive.
After checking my Maxtor drive, I can't find the backups. What are they named, and how can I restore from these backups in case of disaster on my main drive?

Thanks,
grafico

The backups occupy the entirety of your drive. You'll want to use "Smart Update", not "Copy Newer" -- and to recover, you'll typically start up from the backup, or copy the files back.

Please see the User's Guide for more -- Help > User's Guide. It goes into detail about how to work with all aspects of SuperDuper!

Note, too -- if you don't see anything on the FireWire drive, it could be a bug in Finder. Try Cmd-Option-Clicking its dock icon, and then choose "Relaunch". Then, check again.

Hope that helps!
