new to backups
I've done a full backup and a couple of incremental (new file) backups.
I'm backing up to a Maxtor firewire drive. After checking my Maxtor drive, I can't find the backups. What are they named, and how can I restore from these backups in case of disaster on my main drive? Thanks, grafico |

The backups occupy the entirety of your drive. You'll want to use "Smart Update", not "Copy Newer" -- and to recover, you'll typically start up from the backup, or copy the files back.
Please see the User's Guide for more -- Help > User's Guide. It goes into detail about how to work with all aspects of SuperDuper! Note, too -- if you don't see anything on the FireWire drive, it could be a bug in Finder. Try Cmd-Option-Clicking its dock icon, and then choose "Relaunch". Then, check again. Hope that helps!
