Kernel panic here, too
Yesterday I accidentally deleted my first and only SuperDuper! backup instead of updating it. So I restarted with extensions off and started a new complete backup. However, at some point my MacBook's screen went black and nothing could bring it back to life, so I held down the power button to restart it.
Since then I have attempted to backup my MacBook 4 times, and every time has resulted in a kernel panic, a dimmed screen with a multilingual message saying I need to hold down the power button to restart it. Although there have been 4 successive attempts since the one I interrupted, only that interrupted one has been logged (it's attached below). What, if anything, can I do to get SuperDuper! working again? My backup drive is only two months old. | 05:10:58 PM | Info | SuperDuper!, 2.5 (84), path: /Applications/Utilities/SuperDuper!.app, Mac OS 10.4.11 build 8S2167 (i386) | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Started on Mon, Mar 10, 2008 at 5:10 PM | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Source Volume: Macintosh HD, mount: /, device: /dev/disk0s2, media: TOSHIBA MK8032GSX, interconnect: Internal SATA, file system: "Journaled HFS+", OS: 10.4.11 (8S2167), capacity: 74.21 GB, used: 57.61 GB, directories: 150916, files: 801519, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Target Volume: MacBack, mount: /Volumes/MacBack, device: /dev/disk3s1, media: LaCie little Disk, interconnect: External FireWire, file system: "Journaled HFS+", OS: 10.4.11 (8S2167), capacity: 80.82 GB, used: 58.98 GB, directories: 150948, files: 800984, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Copy Mode : Erase, then copy files | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Copy Script : Backup - all files.dset | 05:10:58 PM | Info | Transcript : BuildTranscript.plist | 05:10:59 PM | Info | PHASE: 1.
