How do I email log files via shell script

Hi - For a few reasons I do not want to use Growl to email me success/failure messages after SD backups. I can not seem to find anything on the net about how to send an email from the Terminal. I basically just want to email the log file contents to myself.

Thanks in advance, any help appreciated.
