automatically exclude sshfs mounts

Perhaps SuperDuper should automatically exclude sshfs mounted directories since it appears unable to copy them anyway?

SDCopy: FTS_NS error for item: '/Users/ilia/bsc' err: 13, Permission denied

You can exclude this by modifying your copy script. Unfortunately, if you mounted this with MacFUSE, when we try to simply step past the file, it gives an error (which it shouldn't: the mount point should be stat-able)...

I'd suggest using the before/after shell scripts in the advanced tab to unmount an re-mount your MacFUSE volume.

The error we give is directly from fts, and indicates that -- when we're running as root -- it's not...

automatically exclude sshfs mounts

I excluded them in my backup script, but...

Wouldn't it be legitimate to have a look at 'mount', and ignore all paths reported as sshfs mounts (mine was indeed not readable, as it has been created with -o reconnect but the remote server alexub was not up during the backup)?

alexub: on /Users/alex/m/alexub (osxfusefs, nodev, nosuid, synchronous, mounted by alex)

In fact, wouldn't it be legitime to backup only what is really part of the specified partition, thus excluding everything mounted in it?

We exclude all mounts in /Volumes. If you're mounting at a different location, modifying the script -- or creating one and including ours, then adding your excludes.

Ignoring items that stat as separate file systems is something we're considering.

Thanks!
