Which is the fastet way to backup?

This may be a stupid question, but I wonder if there is any difference in speed in choosing the "Smart Update" or "Copy newer".

Also, is "copy different" slower than "copy newer"?

They should be roughly the same speed, except that each will copy different sets of files, of course...
