everything is grayed out - why?
I was able to use SuperDuper! (84) to back up a couple drives to a third drive on my brand new iMac.
I think there may have been problems due to relocating my main user home directory to a different drive: Now, everything is grayed out: I can't select source or target. I tried deleting the app and re-copying it to my App.s folder (the only difference I recall is that before I did this I think the OK button was NOT grayed out and I could at least select an action ("using"), but after the reinstallation even OK was grayed out and I could do nothing). I also tried deleting the Saved Settings folder: thought that might help per another thread. It made no difference. But when I log in from a separate user account (I had created an "admin" account that still resides on my iMac's internal drive),everything works fine! So how do I get things to work fine again for my regular user account? Regards, Strathglass |

Drop me a note to support, Strathglass; removing saved settings should have worked, so we'll have to do some more detailed investigation...

Problem solved: it seemed to be related to my relocated home dir: something must have been referencing my old home dir location, even after I deleted it to the trash. Emptying the trash did the trick (maybe also deleting the Saved Settings folder was part of the solution).
