Clone or fresh install

Quick question....my iMac is currently having a new hd fitted thanks to AppleCare and it should therefore return soon with a new hard drive and a fresh install of Snow Leopard.

I have a SuperDuper! clone of the old drive, so what will be the best way to get everything back onto the new drive.

1. Simply use SuperDuper! to clone the cloned drive back to the new internal drive.

2. Use migration assistant to copy everything from the cloned drive to the new drive... I'm not sure how well this works?

3. Manually copy the users folder to the new drive and install applications from scratch.

Which is the best approach? Which will provide the best performance? Is there a better way that I've missed?

Thanks,
Al.
