"Not a directory" error
SDCopy: Error "Not a directory" encountered while setting HFS meta data for /Volumes/Backup (300)/Desktop/.localized of type: 8
Could someone please help with this. Thanks! |

Sounds like either your source or destination is damaged, magnus. I'd suggest using disk utility to repair the destination, then boot from your OSX install DVD. Run Disk Utility from the Installer menu, then repair your startup disk as well.
Once done, boot back and give it another try.

No damage on any drives. Every came back clean.
My second hard drive is partitioned into four drives. The two drives I was having this problem with had "Desktop" folders on them, which is different then the properly made "Desktop Folder" on each partition. Neither "Desktop" folder had anything in it. Deleted both folders and everything has been running okay since. |
