Problem Quitting SuperDuper

I back-up two computers to a partitioned LaCie 160 GB Porsche USB 2.0 drive.
When I complete backing up my IMAC G5 (OS10.4.3) I quit SuperDuper (2.0.1) and eject both partitions with no problem.
When I complete backing up my PowerBook G4 (OS 10.3.9) and quit SuperDuper I can eject the unused partition but get the following message when I try to eject the one used for back-up "The Disk "Powerbook_1" is in use and could not be ejected". I can only remove the drive by shutting down the computer.

What do I need to do to properly end my back-up and eject the hard drive?

Are you perhaps running AntiVirus on the PowerBook?

Both computers run Norton Anti Virus 10.1.

Both computers are configured similarly, but there are some version differences based on OS X version.

Right. Please turn off AutoProtect, and that should solve your problem. (The issue is that NAV is scanning the files we've copied, so it won't let you eject the volume.)

Thanks.

I shut down NAV auto-protect and was able to eject OK after back-up.

Do you know why I don't have the same problem with the IMAC?

SD! is a great product.

I really can't say why; perhaps fewer files were copied so it took less time for NAV to (pointlessly) scan them?
