Cloning iBook G4 1.4 to MacBook intel?
Hi Everyone,
I just upgraded my son's computer from an iBook G4 1.4 to the new Black intel MacBook. My question is, can I safely clone the iBook's HD to an external HD and then clone it to the new intel MacBook? Regards, David |

Absolutely not, David. You an do the first step (cloning to the external), but you must use the Migration Assistant, which will appear during the first boot, to bring that data onto the new MacBook. The PPC version of the OS will not run on the Intel machines.
Hope that helps!
