Using Mac G3 for backup

I'm using a G3 iBook to backup my G4 iBook. Are there any problems I should be aware of in using a Mac as opposed to a normal external drive for creating a bootable clone?

Other than it uses a lot more power, and generates more heat? No -- but it's kind of a weird thing to use as a "case".

Using Mac for backup

Thanks for the reply. I suppose it sounds weird, but when the screen on my iBook G3 went bad, I just bought an iBook G4 as my main computer, and so decided to use the G3 as a backup in addition to my other backup drive in order to have 2 separate backups.

Well, it should certainly work... but definitely an unusual repurposing.
