Question New User Questions?

I installed SD! and bought an 80gb hard drive from OWC to use with my Powerbook. The backup went fine, took about 1hr 10min. I have two questions;

1)when using "backup all files" I am assumng this is a bootable clone of the hard drive but the description says it backs up all files except for certain temp files and files that (can't remeber the exact terminology). This is still an exact clone?

and

2) How do I boot from the clone drive to test it if I didn't select that option before I made the backup? It seems like the the PB is running off the hard drive after the backup was complete.

Thanks

Ray:

Yes, it's still an "exact" clone -- the ignored files are re-generated on the other side, or have no meaning after a boot (temporary files and the like).

To boot off the drive, select it in the System Preferences "Startup Disk" preference pane, or choose it from the "Option-Boot" screen.
