SuperDuper!'s Process for Copying Files?

Could someone explain to me what SuperDuper uses for copying files?

rsync?
cp?
ditto?

The reason I ask is because everytime I clone a disk and then "graph" that disk using DiskWarrior, it shows the disk to be 40-50% out of place and I have to rebuild it. What I wanted to try is: the same process of cloning but using the Terminal and see if the results are the same. If they are the same, I'll probably write an AppleScript to automatically rebuild the disk after a clone has been completed by SD.
