Thank you for your suggestion.... it did work. I would like to have tried Disk Warrior first to see if that also would have fixed the incorrect file. Maybe next time. This reconfirms to me that there should never be just one clone backup. I think that there should always be two at a minimum for complete safety. I have had nightmares about a backup starting only to be interrupted/crashed by whatever and then not only are you without the original but also the attempted/interrupted backup. The second backup would have saved the day. I will now, for sure, practice what I preach!
