You could certainly exclude certain folders from your SD backup (e.g. your "Movies" folder, or whatever you're considering "Data") and manage that with Time Machine -- but it is nice to have the extra redundancy of both SD! and TM for the information: disk space is cheap, after all, at $200 for a 2TB drive...
