Anacron

Can someone help me setup anacron to ensure my SD! backup ran as scheduled? I have anacron up and running handling my cron jobs, but I don't know how to configure it to help with SD

Thanks so much

FM

Not quite sure what you mean... we're scheduled with cron already, foggymtn...

I have enabled my mac to wakeup in sys prefs a few minutes prior to sd! performing a smart backup. I would like a way to to have sd! run at the first available time if, for some reason, it cannot run at the scheduled time.

For example, my backup is set to run at 10 pm. Yesterday we had an electrical storm at 9:30, and my system was unplugged. This morning, when I rebooted, I would like to have sd! run automatically, to replace the missed backup.

Anacron handles my cron jobs if the computer is down when the jobs are scheduled, and they will run at the next available time

Thank you

Rob

Ah. Well, Rob, the cron entries are visible if you run

Code:
crontab -l
in Terminal. I'm not sure where your anacron jobs should go, but if you take what we're running and run it in anacron, it should work...
