I have almost the exact same setup. A 250 GB internal in my iMac, and an external 320 GB drive with files and photos. I currently don't have enough room on my Maxtor backup HD to backup that 320 GB drive and I'm getting more nervous as each day goes by. I'm looking to get a 500 GB external FW/USB2 drive to backup both drives to.
I'm glad I found this question posted here, as it basically answers my question on the best way to do this. I assume the main HD backup would be bootable, even though it will be on a partition? I don't think the OS has any trouble with that, but I want to be sure. |
