Thanks for the very quick reply, especially on a Sunday afternoon. Yes that clarifies things. I had set my crontab up to run the sds file, instead of the Applescript in Applications. I double clicked on the Applescript in Applications, and got started with the backup. I'll know for sure tomorrow morning, as my automatic backup is scheduled to run around 4:00 am each morning.
