Bootable backup possible with different brand drive?
I've been reading about problems with the 500Gig drive in my macbook pro. I'd like to use super duper to create a bootable backup.
Do you have to use the same brand and model of hard disk to do this? |

No: you neither have to use the same brand nor the same model.

Awesome!
Does the back up drive have to be the same size? If I have an internal 500Gig but it only has 100 gigs used right now can I make a bootable backup to an external 200gig drive, for example? |

Yes. Just has to fit the data (with plenty of extra space, of course).
Make sure it's properly partitioned (see elsewhere on the board, the FAQ, etc).
